"A cyber room of our own" is a multidisciplinary project of the artistic collective "a62" (Rallou Karella,Ioanna Digenaki & Katerina Magkaniari ). Our aim is to compose an archive of memories that emerge from our bodies. Our main question is “What might our bodies think about (our) history?”. Having as starting point our female identities we aim to explore our “body memories”, these sensations that we are not able to express linguistically but still exist as a motor reminiscence. We intend to create an open archive that offers a space to re-collect, re-understand and re-construct (personal) history. Using a variety of media (movement, voice, video, coding,text,drawing, photography,collage) we will create a physical and digital archive of embodied memories and fragmented narrations.
In this site we invite people to participate in our process, by submitting their answers to the tasks that we propose.
